Welcome DC Merrill

We are pleased to welcome photographer and videographer DC Merril to the Spitsbergen Artists Residency. Dean will be working on his project “Northern Latitudes” which will document the remote northerly regions of the word, were few humans live yet are leading areas where the global effects of humanity on nature can be observed. Partnering with local artists, researchers, and environmental advocates a body of work will be created through photography, ambient and voice audio recordings, as well as music created biometric data from Svalbard (Norway), Iceland, Greenland, and TBD North American locations.
