Welcome Elaine Byrne

We welcome Irish artist Elaine Byrne who will be continuing her work from the Arctic Circle Residency at the Spitsbergen Artists Center. Through film, sound, photography, Elaine's artistic goal is to examine how boundaries no longer operate in fixed ways, as a line on the map, but intersect, connect, and disconnect in ways often obscured, contributing to shaping new forms of control and exploitation. This includes investigating many issues that affect Svalbard, which is a place of every-changing and mutable boundaries.
