Welcome Jo Haskins

UK artist Jo Haskins focuses on a theme responding to the experiences she has had after several journeys to Svalbard. Haskins has searched for the appropriate printing techniques to use in parallel with her oil paintings, allowing the two processes to inform each other as a way of enabling her to move forward and continue her exploration of colour, shape and composition, in search of a strategy to use to portray her feelings and emotions connected to the Arctic nature, forces, and landscape. The experience of place and space are central to her practice, as is the need to travel, explore, and be captured by the natural environment, which is an essential source of inspiration.
